= Some & Any

"Some" Is used in Affirmative sentences to express quantity, number or degree ; and " Any " in Negative or interrogative sentences only ; as,

1. I shall give hime some milk
2.  Some boys are very clever.
3. Have you got any milk?
4. He hasn't told me any thing.

= Each & Every

" Each" isbused in speaking of two or more things, when the number in the group is limited and definite.  " Every" is used in speaking of more than two, when the number is indefinite and means each without exception; as,

1. She was the days and it rained each day.
2. Every one of thesd lamps is out of order.

= Farther & Further

" Farther " means more distant "Further means something in addition; as,

1. Murer is farther from lahore than Gujrat.
2. Complete your work without any further delay.

= Few , A few & The few

" Few" Means not many or hardly any ; "a few" is used in positive sense for some and is opposed to none; "the few" means not many but all there are; as,

1. Few man are free from faults.
2. A few man are free from faults.
3. The few friends I have are all very poor.

= Older & Elder

" Elder " is used for the members of the same family; but this is not the case with "older"; as,

1. The president is older than the vice-president.
2. Majeef is my elder brother.

= Later , Latter , Last & Latest

" Latest" as well as "later" refers to time and " latter" denotess position; but "last is used to show both; as,

1. He came later than  Pervaiz.
2. The latter half of this book is very interesting.
3. The last poem is rather difficult.
4. This coat cut according to the latest design.

= Little, A little & The little

" Little" means not much or hardly any; "a little" means some , through not much; and "the little" means not much, but all that is; as ,

1. There is little hope of her success.
2. There is a little hope of her success.
3. The little hope of her success has now gone.

= Nearest & Next

" Nearest" denotes distance " Next" denotes position ; as,

1. Give me a lift in your car to the nearest bookstall.
2. He is my next door neighbour.

= Many , Many a & Much.

" Many" shows number " much" shows quantity ; " many a " also shows number but it takes a singular nouns and a singular verb After it; as,

1. Many boys are playing football.
2. May a boy has gone to the canal.
3. She eats too much.
