Pakistan develops corona virus protection equipment nationally… Defense Production Minister Zubeida Jalal

Defense Production Minister Zubeida Jalal has said that Pakistan is developing protective equipment against corona virus at the national level including sanitizers, face shields, goggles and protective clothing. An interview with Radio Pakistan News and Current Affairs Channel  "We have the capacity to produce 4,000 liters of sanitizer, while we are also making large quantities of PK95 masks," he said.  He said that PK95 masks are as effective as N-95 masks made in China.  The Federal Minister said that the National Radio and Telecom Corporation has activated 171 ventilators which were lying idle in various government hospitals.  He said that an American company has expressed interest in producing ventilators in collaboration with National Radio and Telecom Corporation and talks are underway in this regard. Zabida Jalal said that we have also made walk-through gates and thermal cameras.  In response to a question, he said that all the items made under his ministry have been provided to the National Disaster Management Authority so that they can be distributed among the provinces.  Responding to a question on the lockdown strategy, Zubaida Jalal said that more than 50% of Pakistan's population  Where s is in full lockdown, the implementation is not possible.  He said the government has launched the Ehsas Emergency Cash Program to help deserving families.  He said that full transparency in the distribution of cash aid was being ensured. Replying to a question, the Minister for Defense Production said that a proper system has been set up at Taftan border to facilitate Pakistani visitors from Iran.  ۔  He said that Pakistan's border with Iran would be opened three days a week in view of the delivery of daily necessities from Iran and during this time full security measures would be taken to prevent the spread of Corona virus during Ramadan.  The Federal Minister also appealed to the people in Balochi language to take precautionary measures to protect themselves from Corona virus and prevent the spread of the epidemic.
