Tensor chip shows Google is 'serious' about smartphones and hardware

The Pixel phones are now about six years old, yet Google’s market share in the smartphone market is minuscule. Amazon stole a march over Google in smart speakers as well streaming devices. But with last night’s announcement of its own custom-made chipset for Pixel, Google may finally mean some business.
