Google to replace lock icon in Chrome's URL bar, here's why

Google Chrome's redesigned 117 version to be released in September will feature a new "tune" icon on its web browser that will replace the lock icon on the URL bar. In 2021, Google conducted a study that revealed only 11% of test participants understand the purpose of the padlock icon.
