Chinese tech company Baidu has released its generative AI chatbot, Ernie Bot, to the public. On its first day, the app was the most downloaded on the Apple App Store in China, with over 310,000 downloads, and 2.4 million on Android. However, the chatbot faced some challenges, struggling to answer certain questions like identifying which founders of Baidu, Alibaba, and Tencent were capitalists.
