UPI Lite X for offline payments: What it means for users

The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has launched a new feature called UPI Lite X, which allows users to send and receive money while being completely offline. This feature is aimed at improving convenience in payments, especially in areas with poor connectivity. UPI Lite X uses Near Field Communication (NFC) to transfer money between on-device wallets, eliminating the need for internet access.
